Hillcats Rally to Nose Past Wilmington
The Lynchburg Hillcats wiggled past the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 6-5, in 14 innings at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Lynchburg pitcher José Nájera. Lynchburg leads the Northern Division by 14½ games.

It could have been a different outcome for Lynchburg, had it not been for Steve Cobb, the 24-year old first baseman . Cobb contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 14th inning to put Lynchburg up, 6-5.

"Being in first place now is good," said Cobb. "Being in first at the end of the season is better. That's our goal."
