Mudcats Dealt 5-2 Loss by Lynchburg
The Lynchburg Hillcats trumped the Carolina Mudcats, 5-2, at Ed Smith Stadium. Lynchburg catcher Xavier Aragón was terrific. He was 2-3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lynchburg reliever Zander Kelly picked up the win, upping his record to 13-9. Tim Williams took the loss. Kevin Dudley earned the save, his 1st in 1 tries.

Aragón had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 changeup from Kevin King, he banged a 2-run triple to right-center, giving the Hillcats a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Aragón.

"It was a good effort all around," said Aragón.

The Hillcats improved their record to 50-70 with the win over Carolina.
