Winston-Salem pitcher António Perales did his part in helping his team beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win for the Dash raised their record to 66-55.

Brent Knutsen had a direct impact on the outcome. Knutsen contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Winston-Salem up, 2-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Perales.
