Keys Handle Lynchburg, Snag 6-3 Win
The Frederick Keys overcame a good performance by Lynchburg second baseman Juan Árias to knock off Lynchburg, 6-3, at Harry Grove Stadium. Árias went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Rod Fitzgerald notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 5-4. The win for the Keys raised their record to 62-60.

Dave McDaniel had a big 2-run double for the Keys in the bottom of the second inning. With Frederick leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from Dwayne Wilson, who is tied for 9th in the CAR in innings pitched with 128.1, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Keys ahead, 3-0.

McDaniel called the win "a team effort."
