The Lynchburg Hillcats got a sterling performance from pitcher José Nájera, but the Frederick Keys still prevailed, 4-3. Nájera threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. Frederick reliever José Luna picked up the win, upping his record to 9-1. José Nájera took the loss. Frederick now has a record of 63-61 with the win.

The Keys got a big hit from designated hitter Steve Stone. In the bottom of the sixth, Stone smacked a 3-run home run off Lynchburg pitcher José Nájera. It was his 21st home run of the season. Suddenly, the Keys were ahead, 4-2.

"Big team win," Stone said later.
