Dash Go 10 Innings to Beat Potomac, 4-3
The Winston-Salem Dash faced a tough opponent in Potomac pitcher Walt Powers, but did just enough to pull out the victory at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Powers went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. With this game in the books, Winston-Salem is 77-48, Potomac 57-68.

The Dash got a big at-bat from second baseman Phil Cooper. For the game, Cooper was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Winston-Salem a 2-1 lead.

After the game, Winston-Salem manager Brent Metheny applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
