New York and Minnesota got after it at Target Field.

Reese McGuire impressed in the 9-5 New York win over Minnesota. McGuire, who finished 5th in the NL in triples with 8 in 2018, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Minnesota drops to 10-9.

With New York leading 1-0 in the top of the first, McGuire hit a fastball from Rob Williams for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mets ahead, 4-0.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," McGuire told the New York Times.
