Akron shortstop Chris Macías had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Binghamton Mets, 6-2. Chad Cochrane picked up the save for Akron, his 5th of the year. Binghamton is 4-11 after the defeat.

With Akron trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Macías hit a slider from José Agodo for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the RubberDucks ahead, 4-1.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Macías told the Akron Today. "Whatever it takes."
