Gatto Boss as Washington Beats San Francisco, 1-0
|
The Washington Nationals went home winners at Nationals Park, thanks in large part to starter Joey Gatto. Gatto stifled the San Francisco Giants, enabling Washington to grab the 1-0 win. The Giants drop to 7-14, as their fitful start to the 2026 campaign continues.
Washington starter Joey Gatto was exceptional. The 6-foot-3 right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings of work.
"Joey is a tough competitor," said Washington manager Mark Grudzielanek.
