The Burlington Bees racked up a win at Philip B. Elfstrom Stadium, bumping off the Kane County Cougars, 3-2. Ed Anderson, who started for Burlington, pitched effectively for his team. The save was credited to Mike Taylor, his 2nd. The win puts Burlington at 3-0.
Stan Lacrosse had a direct impact on the outcome. Lacrosse contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Burlington up, 3-2.
"I'm happy we won," said Anderson. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
