The Fort Wayne TinCaps defeated the Lansing Lugnuts by the score of 10-9, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Eric Becker. Becker went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the TinCaps on the day. The loss puts Lansing at 3-6.

Fort Wayne used the timely hitting of Tim Moore to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the TinCaps on top, 10-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Moore, "but we got it done."
