The rain came, as predicted, but the Fort Wayne TinCaps and Great Lakes Loons were able to complete their ballgame.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps picked up a win, 9-4, over the Great Lakes Loons at Parkview Field. Eric MacIntyre led the charge. The Folsom, California native was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Fort Wayne. Rob Nelson got the save, the 1st for him this season.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Conan Wayland had a chance to do some damage. Great Lakes was trailing 8-3, but had the bases loaded. Wayland came to the plate against Rob Nelson, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Great Lakes comeback.

Fort Wayne sits at 2-9 in the early going.
