Extra-Inning Win by Dragons Over Cubs
The Dayton Dragons faced a tough opponent in South Bend pitcher Rinaldo Saro, but found a way to pull out the victory at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium by a final score of 6-5 in 12 innings. Saro went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Dayton sits at 6-8.

José Amalia drove in one run for Dayton. With one out and the game tied in the top of the 12th inning, Amalia had a clutch at-bat. Facing South Bend hurler Artie Maddox, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Dragons a 6-5 lead.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Dragons manager Manny Amador.
