Clinton LumberKings starter Robinson Martínez hurled his team past the Burlington Bees, 5-2. Ben Barrera earned the save for Clinton, his 3rd. Burlington drops to 6-9.

Clinton took a 4-1 lead on Juan Núñez's 7th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Núñez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Burlington pitcher Leonardo A. Kimball visibly frustrated.

Clinton manager Clay Buchholz commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
