At Fifth Third Field, the South Bend Cubs and Dayton Dragons were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Dayton Dragons starter Dominic Blake pitched his team past the South Bend Cubs, 6-2. The win takes Dayton to 9-9.

Dayton left fielder Jorge Duarte helped the Dragons go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Duarte hit a run-scoring single off South Bend pitcher Ed Green.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Duarte, "and then get after the next one."
