Kevin Fitzpatrick pitched a gem to lead Portland to victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-1. In 6 innings, Fitzpatrick surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Augusto García finished the game for Portland and earned his 7th save.

Carlos Parkinson had a big run-scoring triple for the Sea Dogs in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Portland leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Steven Prigent and swatted a triple to center. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sea Dogs ahead, 2-0.

"Kevin is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said Portland manager Stu Cole.

The Sea Dogs, now 11-5, have played some good baseball in the early going.
