Montgomery Goes 5-for-6 Against Lansing
The Great Lakes Loons stopped the Lansing Lugnuts by a score of 16-2 at Cooley Law School Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Rob Montgomery. The 25-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Montgomery said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Montgomery did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Lugnuts.

"Not much that I can say," offered Lansing manager Edgar Varela. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Rob Montgomery singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Vic Banks in the 8th.
