The Dayton Dragons took on the South Bend Cubs at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium.

The Dayton Dragons beat the South Bend Cubs, 8-4, at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. Dave Murdoch, who leads the MID in RBI with 19, starred for Dayton. He was 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Cubs, 8-12, continue their poor start to the 2025 campaign.

With Dayton leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Murdoch hit a fastball from Edwin Braun for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 5-1.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Murdoch. "It sure beats the alternative."
