Behind the hitting of Shawn Alomar, the Dayton Dragons defeated the Lansing Lugnuts, 13-12. Alomar was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Dragons. Juan Sánchez stitched up the save, his 6th. The loss makes Lansing 11-12.

In the bottom of the sixth, Hank Howell delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Dayton third baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Dragons in front, 13-12.
