Burlington pitcher Jesús Mejía had a large part in his team beating the Beloit Snappers, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Burlington reliever Jesús Mejía picked up the win, while Tim Hilton took the loss for Beloit. The loss drops Beloit to 15-9.

Dave Oliver went 1-4 with a hit by pitch for Burlington. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tim Hilton. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"Jesús was commanding his pitches," said Burlington manager Danny Valencia.
