Dozer Park was the site for Midwest League action featuring the Great Lakes Loons and Peoria Chiefs.

The Peoria Chiefs withstood an impressive performance by Great Lakes shortstop Jorge Rivera to defeat the Loons, 9-4, at Dozer Park. Rivera was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Loons drop to 12-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2026 season.

Gil Peterson was 1 for 4 with a walk for Peoria. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Cristóbal López. It was his 4th walk of the season.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Peoria manager Phil Nevin.
