The Quad Cities River Bandits handed the Lansing Lugnuts a 5-4 loss in 10 innings at Modern Woodmen Park. Pancho Mendoza, who is tied for 10th in the MID in total bases with 51, was the star on offense. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Lugnuts fall to 11-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2026 season.

The River Bandits got a clutch hit from second baseman Pat Anderson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the River Bandits.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Takanobu Sato.
