Clinton pitcher Ismael Acosta did his part in helping his team beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Julián Alou collected save number 6. With the win, Clinton pushed its record to 17-12.

Norbert Coleman was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI for Clinton. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off José Vásquez. It was his 36th hit of the season.
