The Beloit Snappers dumped the Lake County Captains, 13-6, in large part due to shortstop Rob Brown. On the day, Brown went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Snappers. Beloit now sits at 14-16, while Lake County falls to 18-12.

Ken Maxwell had a big 2-run double for the Snappers in the top of the third inning. With Beloit leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Dan Knight and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Snappers ahead, 4-0.

"We'll kick back a while," said Brown, "and then get ready for the next one."
