Barajas Swings LumberKings to 10-8 Win
A good performance from left fielder José Barajas helped the Clinton LumberKings defeat the Lansing Lugnuts, 10-8. Barajas was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the LumberKings. Clinton reliever Robinson Galló picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Dan McLeod took the loss. Today's win puts Clinton at 14-16, while Lansing falls to 12-18.

Had Juan Mendoza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Mendoza hit a 2-run double. That made the score 10-8, in favor of the LumberKings.

LumberKings manager Clay Buchholz wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
