Juan Cruz propelled his team to victory over the Lansing Lugnuts. The final score was 6-3, Lake County. With the win, Lake County raised its record to 23-17.

Anastasio Borras had a big bases-clearing triple for the Captains in the bottom of the second inning. With Lake County leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Jesús Ríos and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Captains ahead, 4-0.

"Juan is good at sticking to his strengths," said Lake County manager Chris Dwyer.
