Cubs 9-3 Winners Versus Great Lakes
Bob Lambert left his imprint on the 9-3 South Bend win against the Great Lakes Loons. Lambert was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. South Bend pitcher Rinaldo Saro earned the win, hiking his record to 4-3. Ben Crews suffered the loss. The win hiked the South Bend record to 22-21.

With South Bend leading 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Lambert hit a fastball from Ben Crews for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 8-3.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Lambert.
