The Beloit Snappers defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 5-3, at Harry C. Pohlman Field. Leading the charge for Beloit was catcher Mike Sawyer. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Daniel Negrón zipped up his 13th save. With the win over Wisconsin, the Snappers improved to 28-20.

Sawyer had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Léo Briand, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Snappers a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Sawyer.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Sawyer.
