Parkview Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

The Dayton Dragons topped the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 2-0, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. The standout performance belonged to Dayton pitcher and Henderson, Nevada, native Bao-tian Liu. Liu got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Randy Poole hit a triple. The Dragons went on to win.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Dayton skipper Manny Amador.

Dayton raised its record to 25-25 with the win.
