TinCaps Earn Late Win
The Fort Wayne TinCaps had to overcome a good performance from Lake County pitcher Ken Martínez to claim a 3-2 win at Classic Park. Martínez went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Abdul-Qahhar bin Sadaqat earned the save for Fort Wayne, his 1st of the year. The victory puts Fort Wayne at 11-41.

Fort Wayne used the timely hitting of Albert Santístevan to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the TinCaps on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Fort Wayne manager Yunir Garcia said.
