Chiefs Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
The Peoria Chiefs and Kane County Cougars completed their game despite the rain.

In a tight affair between the Peoria Chiefs and the Kane County Cougars, pitcher Fred Marcel was in the zone. The Peoria right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. The Chiefs saw their record improve to 23-30.

The Chiefs got a clutch hit from left fielder Sancho Vega. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Chiefs.

"This house was rockin'," Vega said.
