The home crowd had a good time watching the Peoria Chiefs and Quad Cities River Bandits get after it.

Behind an impressive start by Myron Nichols, Quad Cities beat Peoria, 4-1. Bob Barraclough nailed down the save.

Gunnar Cahill helped out the Quad Cities cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.

"It was a good effort all around," said Nichols.

Quad Cities is now 24-29.
