Lefty Young Leads South Bend to 3-0 Win
In a tight game between the South Bend Cubs and the Great Lakes Loons, pitcher Daryl Young was terrific on the mound. The South Bend left-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. Randy Nelson was credited with the save for South Bend, his 11th of the season. South Bend is now 28-26, Great Lakes 25-29.

Young was dominant for South Bend. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts. He threw 93 pitches over 7.1 innings in the contest.

"Daryl was good -- real good," said Cubs manager Mike Brumley.
