Clinton left fielder Quincy McLeod helped his team beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 10-8. McLeod, who is tied for 10th in the MID with a .929 OPS, went 3 for 3 for the LumberKings. Don Brown earned save number 1 this season. With the win, Clinton raised its record to 28-27.

In the bottom of the fifth, Terence Tinker delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Clinton first baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the LumberKings in front, 10-8.

In postgame comments to the Clinton Chronicle, McLeod said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
