The Loons faced a stiff challenge from Fort Wayne pitcher José Aloniz, but persevered to claim a win at Dow Diamond. The final score was 2-1. Aloniz went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Víctor Guzmán earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Jarrod Lane recorded the save for Great Lakes, his 13th of the season.
