Cubs Walk It Off for 30th Win of Season
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The South Bend Cubs got a marvelous performance from pitcher Daryl Young. The left-hander kept the West Michigan offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 South Bend victory at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. With the win, South Bend upped its record to 30-28.

Phil Lind was the walk-off hero for South Bend. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cubs second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's still just a game," said Lind, "whether you win or lose."
