Alomar Goes Deep Twice in 11-5 Dragons Win
Shawn Alomar impressed in the 11-5 Dayton win over Great Lakes. Alomar, who is tied for 4th in the MID in home runs with 9, belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The winner was António Lara, who threw 86 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits. The Dragons sport a record of 24-36.

With Dayton leading 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Alomar hit a fastball from Phil Sparks for a grand slam home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 9-2.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Alomar.
