Jara gets 4 RBI, Whitecaps Move to 46-16
Spirited fans greeted the Lansing Lugnuts for their clash with the West Michigan Whitecaps.

The West Michigan Whitecaps defeated the Lansing Lugnuts, 14-4. Doing his part was third baseman Sergio Jara, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. West Michigan is now 46-16, Lansing 33-29.

With West Michigan leading 10-0 in the top of the sixth, Jara came up to bat against Lansing pitcher Thom Black. Jara hit a fastball to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Whitecaps on top, 14-0.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Jara.
