The Fort Wayne TinCaps and Dayton Dragons delighted fans at Fifth Third Field.
The Dayton Dragons got a stellar effort from pitcher Joe Johnson, helping Dayton score a win over the visiting Fort Wayne TinCaps, 4-2. The Dragons improved their record to 31-32 with the win over Fort Wayne.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from first baseman Buddy Kent. For the game, Kent went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Dayton a 3-2 lead.
"Joe's as tough as he is talented," said Dayton manager Manny Amador.
