Burlington Charts 5-3 Win Over Quad Cities
The Burlington Bees topped the Quad Cities River Bandits, 5-3, with youngster Nate Shaw playing a key role. Shaw was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bees in the win. António Ramírez earned save number 4. The Bees bumped their record to 35-28 with this latest triumph.

Raúl Pérez came through with a big-time hit for Burlington. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Bees manager Danny Valencia.
