Lake County pitcher Jesús Gómez did his part in helping his team defeat the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 8-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Gómez, now 4-6, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Scotty Stevens collected save number 2.

The Captains picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
