Beloit Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Beloit Snappers overcame a good performance by Quad Cities center fielder Luis Villarreal to knock off Quad Cities, 6-5, at Harry C. Pohlman Field. Villarreal went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Clarence Huff, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 2.2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Snappers.

Rob Brown was the walk-off hero for Beloit. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Snappers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
