The Quad Cities River Bandits had no problem beating the Beloit Snappers, 11-2, at Harry C. Pohlman Field. Charlie Jones, who is tied for 2nd in the MID in triples with 5, led the onslaught. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Quad Cities. With the win, the River Bandits hiked their record to 36-33.

With Quad Cities trailing 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Jones hit a curveball from Jose Bautista Jr. for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 4-2.

"I thought we played a nice game," Jones told the Quad Cities Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
