Bees Take Down Cougars, 8-6
The Burlington Bees topped the Kane County Cougars, 8-6, in 16 innings at Community Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Burlington pitcher António Ramírez. Eddie Clegg earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 4-1. The losses continue to mount for Kane County, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Burlington got a knockout punch from Nate Shaw. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 16th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Shaw, "one at-bat at a time."
