Floundering Cougars Lose 7th Straight
The Burlington Bees beat the Kane County Cougars, 4-3. Burlington pitcher and Calgary, Canada, native Angelo Tanguy led the way. Juan Romano got credit for the win, improving to 6-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Kane County has now lost 7 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eric Thomas in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Anderson to win the game for Burlington. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Kane County manager .
