Though he had a terrific game, Sergio Castillo could not prevent his team, the Dayton Dragons, from absorbing a loss. Lansing won the game, 5-4. Castillo was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Kade Franklin in relief, making him now 2-0. Joe Johnson took the loss for Dayton. Dayton, at 40-46, has lost 4 straight.

Jamal Marchant drew 1 walk for Lansing. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Joe Johnson. It was his 42nd RBI of the season.

"We have some nice rhythm to our lineup right now," said Lansing manager Corey Ragsdale.
