Loons Deal Captains 6-1 Defeat

Great Lakes and Lake County got after it at Classic Park.
Chris Ramsey, who is tied for 5th in the MID in strikeouts with 109, was locked in. The right-hander led the Great Lakes Loons to a 6-1 win against the Lake County Captains at Classic Park. Ramsey, now 7-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
Great Lakes used a clutch at-bat from Alex Davis to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Loons ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Chris was in tempo tonight," said Great Lakes skipper Emilio Bonifacio.
With the win, Great Lakes raised its record to 44-43.
