A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Quad Cities River Bandits and Lansing Lugnuts.

The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Lansing Lugnuts, 9-2, at Cooley Law School Stadium. The River Bandits got a fine performance from first baseman Gunnar Cahill, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Earning the save was Jerry Stevenson. He's now cashed in 1 of 4 save opportunities.

Early in the game, Cahill had a 3-run home run for Quad Cities. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the River Bandits on top, 3-0.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Cahill.
