Kane County Edges Timber Rattlers, 4-3, Muñóz Clutch
|
Getting offensive support from Norberto Muñóz, the Kane County Cougars topped the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 4-3. Muñóz was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Cougars. Mike Terry was the winner. He's now 9-9. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Webb. Jerry Rhodes earned his 25th save in 27 chances.
With Kane County leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Muñóz hit a slider from Bobby Webb for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 4-0.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Muñóz.
Kane County is now 44-59, Wisconsin 44-58.
