Fort Wayne got a first-rate effort from pitcher José Aloniz, who frustrated Dayton hitters en route to a 3-1 TinCaps triumph at Parkview Field. Aloniz, now 5-6, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Yes, it was a win for Fort Wayne; but their 25-82 record is still nothing to boast about.
